Key Responsibilities:

• Judgement and Quality Focus: Use your clear judgement on complex legal matters, driving quality and standards across the organization.
• Corporate Governance: Advise on corporate affairs and act as secretary to the board, overseeing compliance and governance for our investments and holdings.
• Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.
• Legal Advisory: Provide day-to-day legal support to all corporate functions, including drafting, negotiating contracts, and managing legal disputes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with external legal advisors, manage external counsel, and communicate effectively with internal teams.

Qualifications:

• Education: Law degree from a recognized university. Admission to practice in at least one European jurisdiction (preferably the Netherlands).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in an international setting, ideally within corporate or banking sectors.
• Skills: In-depth understanding of the power and utilities sector, excellent contract drafting skills, and fluency in Dutch and English.
• Specialization: Significant experience in corporate and M&A law, banking law, or construction law.
