Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated German Teacher to join our vibrant Modern Languages Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching German to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, and contributing to the overall development of the languages curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective German lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
• Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Modern Languages curriculum.
• Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and learning strategies.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive learning environment and share best practices.
• Engage with parents and carers to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in German or a related field.
• Experience teaching German at secondary school level, including GCSE and A-Level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for German language and culture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
