Typically, this person will be required to will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and fitting carpets

Duties and responsibilities of the Carpet Fitter:

• Site Assessment: Working on site you will be require to assess and measure areas where carpets will be installed.
• Material Preparation: Accurately cut and shape carpets to fit specific room dimensions and layouts.
• Installation: Install carpets using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring smooth and secure fitting.
• Surface Preparation: Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and applying adhesives or underlay as needed.
• Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs on existing carpets, including patching and re-stretching.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their requirements, provide advice on carpet choices, and ensure satisfaction with the final installation.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and client interactions.

Qualifications and requirement for the Carpet Fitter:

• Certification: Any relevant certifications in flooring installation or related fields.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of carpets and underlays, and their specific installation requirements.
