Salary: Up to around £50,000 with some flex, plus bonus & benefits

Exciting opportunity with a solid growing company that is looking for an experienced all-rounder HR Manager to assist in taking the business to the next level with a corporate focus

Hybrid working until end of year with flexibility & a view to moving into brand new offices in early 2025

My client is looking for an experienced HR Manager with a proven track record to head up the HR Department within a highly successful retail-based group that has a numerous stores as well as a successful online business – Amazon, eBay etc, supplying an array of gifts, clothing& liquors - and currently employs around 300 people in total.

The role will lead a small team of 2 HR Assistants initially with a view to reforming & growing the structure in the future.

The role offers hybrid working with a view to moving into brand new offices in Edinburgh by the end of the year (due to expansion the company have outgrown their currently offices!!)

The HR Manager to be responsible for the HR across the whole of the business including teams in retail, warehouse, merchandising, buyers, finance department etc & we are looking for someone who can assist in taking the business to more of a corporate structure within the next 2 years.

The role itself is a straight-forward senior HR role and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the HR across all operations, supporting all HODs and managers & advising as to the best code of practice whilst dealing with various issues, giving them the knowledge and support needed to look after their teams and ensure they can recruit and manage their teams in the best possible way. The successful candidate will work closely with HODs to support them in onboarding, recruiting & training as well as being involved in their probationary reviews etc.

The role:

·Deliver a first-class advisory service to all areas of the business

·Advise on employee relations, HR, people policy, processes and recruitment, competently using various tools & systems.

·Build great relationships with onsite teams and build a good knowledge of the sites, teams & HODs to help give best advice where necessary.

·To support the review policies and procedures within the company

·Work in partnership with the senior team to ensure all HR queries are handled properly.

·Ensure all documentation is up to date and meets compliance.

·Support in the administration of HR activities and projects

·Improve corporate structure with a view to taking the business to the next level

Candidate Requirements :

·Proven track record of strong experience as a Head of HR or HR Manager within a retail environment

. Must ideally have CIPD, but will also consider very experienced HR Managers with strong knowledge gained from their years of working within the role.

·Have a passion for HR and people management, with strong up to date Employment Law knowledge & experience of working with HRM systems.

·Have experience providing advice and guidance to all levels of staff and offering guidance and support with written documentation.

·Experience of building relationships with confidence and be able to challenge HODs & managers when necessary.

·Ability to quickly establish and understand any issues and confidently offer solutions.

·Have excellent organisation skills to manage a diverse workload across administration, providing advice and project support.
