Principal People’s Environment & Sustainability division are proud to exclusively support a landmark infrastructure project with an Ecology Manager role where you can be a key part of protecting biodiverse species as part of the main contractor.

This is an ideal role for an experienced ecologist with a background of working on ancient woodlands, ecologically important sites or green belt builds to progress into a managerial role on a strategically important project.

The company are a JV delivering civil engineering works across a large site in Buckinghamshire – giving you the opportunity to work alongside an elite group of international specialists.

You will be responsible for a team of ecologists, undertaking subcontractor management and dealing with relevant authorities to ensure compliance. Liaising with Nature England and the supply chain, you will manage key stakeholders and programme site surveys whilst managing licensing processes.

This is an ideal role for an Ecology Manager or experienced ecologist looking to progress, working on a landmark project where you can work alongside a diverse team of elite subject matter experts.

Package: £5,300 Car Allowance or Car + 7.5% Pension + 26 Days AL + Circa £18k - £22k Subsistence Allowance + Project Travel Allowance + Private Medical

The Role:
  • Site based 4 or 5 days per week across Buckinghamshire
  • Undertaking lots of earthworks and large-scale civil engineering
  • Large focus on subcontractor management and ensuring compliance with relevant authorities
  • £60,000 - £65,000
  • £5,300 Car Allowance or Car + 7.5% Pension + 26 Days AL + Circa £18k - £22k Subsistence Allowance + Project Travel Allowance + Private Medical
The Successful Applicant will:
  • Be an Ecology Manager or Ecologist looking to progress into a managerial role
  • Have experience of green belt builds, ecologically important sites or ancient woodlands
  • Have experience of working with protected species
