Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue invoices and manage the collection process.
- Communicate with customers to follow up on outstanding payments and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities, including payment plans and customer communications.
- Prepare and send out statements of accounts.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
- Provide regular reports on the status of outstanding debts and credit control activities to the finance manager.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliation of accounts receivable.
- Support other finance functions as required, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Profile
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with accounting software (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- May be working towards an accountancy degree.
