Location: Bromsgrove

Contract Details: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £11.94 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4pm and 7.30am-3pm on Friday (30 mins unpaid lunch & 20

mins paid break in the morning)

Our client, a well-established and expert engineering organisation based in the Bromsgrove area, is seeking a General Operative to join their small but mighty team. Responsibilities:

As a General Operative, your duties will include:

• Using a bench saw to cut tubes with accuracy to the millimetre
• Building and loading tubes into stacks for the weld shop
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Working independently once trained
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Following cut lists and minimising scrappage
• Cutting tube diameters ranging from ¼" to 1"

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Experience or background in engineering (desirable)
• Proficiency with using hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently once trained
• Reliable, with a good work ethic

Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with working in millimetres
• Knowledge of working with copper and brass tubes
• Experience with using a bench saw for tube cutting
