This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that has been recently acquired where lots of change is being implemented. The company has some fantastic growth plans and they have several lucrative contracts in their pipeline. They are looking for an experienced Administrator/Finance person to join their team. You need to be able to think outside the box and to report into the Managing Director. You will need to have a great eye for detail and be super organised. It is a dual role consisting of finance and administration. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records on QuickBooks, processing accounts payable and receivable, and managing general ledger entries and management reporting.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in using accounting software, specifically QuickBooks. You must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing contracts and bids
  • Analysing sales figures
  • Attending meetings with the Managing Director
  • Liaising with clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, raising sales invoices and inputting bills.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Chase overdue debtors
  • Reconcile bank account
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Manage general ledger entries and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, clients and suppliers

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Qualified AAT Level 4, Qualified ACCA or ACA or Part Qualified ACCA or FCA
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, min 4 years.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in using accounting QuickBooks
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in English
