Service Care Solutions is assisting the local council in their efforts to address and manage Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) within the city. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive ASB Officer to join the team. This role involves promoting and progressing the Council's response to ASB, ensuring community safety, and coordinating efforts with key agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Officer in ASB Cases: Resolve individual cases of ASB in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
  • Response and Coordination: Respond to enquiries and complaints regarding ASB and serious neighbor nuisance, coordinating investigations and implementing agreed solutions with key agencies.
  • Enforcement Action: Progress and enforce appropriate actions against perpetrators of ASB.
  • Customer Advice: Advise customers on the Council's ASB policies and procedures.
  • Reporting: Regularly update the Senior Community Safety Officer on all ASB cases.
  • Agency Collaboration: Consult with key agencies to follow up on reported ASB cases and report progress to the Streetlife Working Group and/or PSG.
  • Public Interviews: Conduct interviews with the public in their homes or other locations in liaison with the Police, City Homes, City RSLs, and other key agencies for evidence gathering.
  • Record Maintenance: Prepare and maintain detailed records and case files for legal proceedings.
  • Legal Liaison: Collaborate with the Council's lawyers on cases, agreeing and expediting necessary actions.
  • Protocol Compliance: Ensure compliance with the ASB County Protocol and Information Sharing Protocol.
  • Information Requests: Request information disclosure from agencies in preparation for legal proceedings, ensuring adherence to the County Information Sharing Protocol.
  • Witness Statements and Prosecution Files: Prepare witness statements and prosecution files, presenting cases in Court and giving evidence when necessary.
  • Court Support: Support the Council's Lawyers in Court and provide necessary advice and support to witnesses attending Court.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in handling ASB cases or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of local council policies and procedures related to ASB.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with key agencies and the public.
  • Proficiency in preparing legal documents and maintaining detailed case files.
  • Experience in court proceedings and giving evidence is an advantage.
