A leading manufacturer are seeking the right individual to join their growing technology team as an IT Support Specialist and Project Controller. This is an exciting opportunity as it will be a crucial role within the business supporting their on-premises and virtual systems. The successful candidate will need to carry out 2nd-line and 3rd-line support for users, whilst also ensuring that employees have continual access to all technology systems as well as deploying and controlling technology-based projects to improve business systems.
IT Support Specialist
Ideal candidate background
- Able to carry out 2nd line support to users
- Experience carrying out 3rd line support for users
- Able to run and support the delivery of technology-based projects
- Strong knowledge of Office 365/Microsoft 365 applications
- Active Directory & GPO management and administration
- Networking – TCP/IP and Wi-Fi
- Server virtualisation
- Laptop/desktop deployments and configuration
IT Support Specialist
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing support to users with hardware and software related issues
- Maintenance and upgrade of systems
- Controlling and delivering IT related projects
- Supporting with IT support escalations
- Carrying out database administration
- Patching networking cables
- Carrying out desktop builds
- Supporting the IT Manager with any reasonable requests that best support the growth of the technology department
