Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Senior Youth Worker for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver youth activities and programs, fostering personal and social development for young people in the Borough.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver projects addressing issues like health, bullying, transitions, sexuality/gender, crime, gangs, and drugs.
  • Organise and facilitate community and social events for young people.
  • Design and implement activity programs, including sports, arts, and drama, that engage young people in informal education and recreational activities.
  • Assess and address the health, social, and emotional needs of young people.
  • Line manage staff, ensuring they receive regular supervision, performance monitoring, and professional development opportunities.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience designing and implementing youth activities and programs.
  • Experience organising community and social events for young people.
  • Experience managing and supervising staff.
  • Experience working with young people aged 11 to 19, and up to 25.

What's on offer

Salary: £24ph+per hour

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week
