Requirements:
- At least a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
- Strong knowledge of scientific concepts.
- A clear, cohesive communication style.
- A friendly, approachable personality with the natural ability to build bonds with students.
- Previous experience of supporting students, or working in a school setting, is beneficial but not essential.
The Role:
- Providing 1-2-1 and small group support to under-achieving GCSE Science students.
- Working in close collaboration with teaching staff to assist in planning and delivering stimulating lessons.
- Adapting learning materials to suit the needs of each student.
- Providing constructive feedback to improve the achievement levels of students.
- Aiding staff in the running of extra-curricular activities to expand students’ passion for science beyond lesson time.
