Assistant Project Planner - (Inside IR35)
Contract Term: 3 months
Contracting Authority: HM Land Registry
Location: Hybrid - 3 days a week in the nearest land registry office / Remote Working
In depth knowledge of developing and building process maps against HMLR statement of requirements and supporting changes to current process maps and Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).

As a Assistant Project Planner your main responsibilities will be
- Stakeholder management, including senior leadership managers to maximise input and participation.
- Working with Stakeholders, identify requirements through gap analysis and engagement to feed into SOP's and process maps.
- Ability to assimilate information from a variety of sources to feed into a process flow, including but not limited to, Current SOP's, process maps, Contract change notes, requirements.
- Management of process map / SOP reviews, gap analysis reviews, facilitating review meetings to deliver the right outputs and deliver robust process maps and Sop's for end to end migration services and modular services.
- Assist Supplier Managers in mapping the required changes to the process maps / SOP's into Contract Change Notes to ensure necessary contracts are aligned to the updated process maps.
- Deliver a set of robust process maps and SOP's that are fit for purpose to enable Migration Service Delivery Partners to deliver end to end migration service which caters for exceptions and mapped against requirements, SOP's and Service Level Agreements / Authority Obligations (SLA's / AO's)
- Provide clarity on key milestones to define what, when and how activities will be organised to ensure the outcomes can be achieved.
- Identify tasks, activities, interdependencies and outputs for the project and work with the project team to track and monitor progress.
- Support capability building and the use of best practice in planning and reporting. Challenge and test project assumptions to ensure plans are realistic and achievable. Development of breakdown structures, quality criteria, product descriptions and monitoring strategy.
- Support the project manager to identify options to optimise delivery through resource smoothing, resource levelling and rescheduling of activities.
- Identify and plan for wider resource requirements for the project.
- Ensure stakeholder responsibilities and needs are understood and addressed in reporting arrangements. Monitor and analyse information, reporting progress, slippage and highlighting areas of risk and opportunity.
Essential Skills
- Experience with process mapping, process flows and flow charts across the role
- Experience at an assistant planner level
- Private or public sector experience and skillset
- Extensive stakeholder engagement at all levels
- Visio experience and skillset
- Strong communication skills
- Self starter
