Construction Recruitment Group are recruiting. Our client are  leading construction company specializing in residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across London, committed to delivering high-quality work with a focus on sustainability.

Position Overview: As a Sustainability Manager, you will oversee and implement sustainability initiatives across our projects, ensuring environmental, social, and economic goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sustainability Strategy:

    • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and policies.
    • Establish short and long-term sustainability goals.
  2. Project Management:

    • Integrate sustainability practices into project planning and execution.
    • Monitor and report on project sustainability performance.
  3. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure projects comply with environmental regulations.
    • Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to promote sustainable practices.
    • Conduct sustainability training and awareness programs.
  5. Performance Monitoring:

    • Conduct sustainability audits and assessments.
    • Prepare sustainability reports for stakeholders.
  6. Innovation and Improvement:

    • Implement new technologies to improve sustainability.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in sustainability practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
    • Professional certification in sustainability (e.g., LEED, BREEAM) is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years in a sustainability role within the construction industry.
    • Proven track record of implementing sustainability initiatives.
  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of sustainability principles and best practices in construction.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in sustainability reporting tools and software.

Pay: £65,000 - £70,000 + package / bonus & pension / healthcare
