Manufacturing Engineer

Medway

37-hour week – Days (6am-2pm with early finish Friday) and lates (1.45pm-9.45pm with early finish Friday) rotational shift pattern

Our client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their production team. This is a great opportunity for someone with an engineering background and experience of operating workshop machines to produce components.

Duties include:

• Use manually operated machines and tools to assembly components for testing.
• Conduct maintenance and fault finding on equipment.
• Design and manufacture fabricated components using a range of welding techniques like MIG, TIG, sheet cutting and bending.
• Modifying and rebuilding prototype engines.
• Fitting a variety of fuel injection equipment including pumps, fuel systems and injectors.
• Any other duties required.

The successful candidate will have / be:

• The understanding to interpret engineering specifications and GD&T.
• The ability to use a variety of assembly techniques and types of equipment. Use and programming of CNC is desirable.
• An excellent understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Educated to HNC or engineering equivalent.
• Familiar with use of CAD models / Solidworks.
