Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Workshop Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the workshop team, including onsite and field engineers, to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Schedule and allocate work to ensure timely completion of all maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of workmanship and safety within and out the workshop.
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate work and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of workshop processes and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including job cards, service reports, and inventory management.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the workshop team as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive, plant or powered access industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical knowledge of powered access or plant equipment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using workshop management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
