About the role:

Are you an experienced project controller / scheduler with a passion for managing and orchestrating engineering projects? A leading engineering client of theirs is currently seeking a skilled project controller / scheduler to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of their projects.

As a project controller / scheduler, you will be responsible for developing detailed project schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders, and monitoring project timelines to ensure all milestones are met. Your expertise in utilising advanced project management tools, particularly Microsoft Project, will be essential in creating and maintaining comprehensive schedules that align with project objectives and constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of engineering projects.

Role responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules using advanced project management tools such as Microsoft
  • Establish task durations, dependencies, and resource
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary scheduling

  • Use Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques or similar methods to measure project performance and

  • Incorporate buffer times and contingency plans into the schedule to account for uncertainties.
  • Monitor and update risk management plans throughout the project
  • Generate and distribute regular project status reports, including Gantt charts, critical path analyses, and progress
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling
  • Provide comprehensive reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key schedule metrics and performance
  • Ensure all stakeholders agree on the scope to avoid scope
  • Divide the creation of new projects into manageable tasks and sub-tasks (Work Breakdown Structure - WBS).
  • Identify dependencies and relationships between

  • Planning of and ongoing management of UK ATM costs, milestones, quality gates & resources
  • Proactive & timely communication with relevant stakeholders - both internally (UK & Vienna) & externally
  • Ensuring meeting/ following all Project guidelines and processes, including KPI monitoring within the
  • Regular reporting of project (s) status to meet both internal and external guidelines & requirements

Proven experience in Project Scheduling:

  • Proven experience in project scheduling, preferably in complex engineering projects. ATM environment is
  • Demonstrated ability to create, manage, and adjust detailed project schedules using advanced project management tools.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Project is
  • Expertise in tracking project progress, identifying deviations, and proposing corrective
  • Strong background in generating and interpreting project status reports, Gantt charts, schedule risk analysis and other scheduling
