About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team at a leading petrochemical site. This role offers the flexibility of a permanent position or a long-term contract, providing an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical projects within the petrochemical industry.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Develop and maintain a database of historical data, including costs of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor and report on cost trends and variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and tender documents.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the project team during the bidding and execution phases.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, preferably within the petrochemical or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Proficient in using estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant engineering or technical qualification is preferred.
