Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical projects within the petrochemical industry.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop and maintain a database of historical data, including costs of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor and report on cost trends and variances.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and tender documents.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team during the bidding and execution phases.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, preferably within the petrochemical or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and construction methods.
- Proficient in using estimation software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant engineering or technical qualification is preferred.
