This is an exciting opportunity for a hands on PRODUCTION MANAGER to join the team of a WEST BROM based powder coating and metal finishing business now a subsidiary of a modest yet prosperous privately owned manufacturing group within the Midlands.

Working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, we anticipate a salary in the region of £35,000 will be offered wholly dependant on experience.

As the PRODUCTION MANAGER duties & responsibilities will include:

• Manage a team of circa 20 within a busy production environment.
• Plan efficient machine & staff utilisation to achieve the production plan
• Maintaining Production volumes & product quality
• Ensuring Safe working practices & observing Health & safety requirements
• Addressing disciplinary issues which might arise within the team

The successful PRODUCTION MANAGER will be able to demonstrate that they have:

• Previous experience in a powder coating, paint spraying or metal finishing environment
• Managed or supervised production teams within a production environment
• Resolved shop floor related people issues
• Planned machine utilisation & staffing
• Implemented efficiency improvements

• A sound understanding of shop floor health & safety & safe working practices
