Job Purpose:

As the Head of Strategic Supplier Management / Head of Supplier Marketplace, you will be a key player in our success with clients, providing overarching strategy for SRM, engaging with our supply base, and managing supply chain and risk. You will support clients with their sourcing requirements, develop supplier relationships, and drive Social Value. Leading a team of SRM specialists, you will manage supplier contracts and relationships, onboarding, ESG, and social value, while developing relationships with suppliers to grow Constellia’s pipeline of sourcing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Act as the key point of contact and escalation for all suppliers.
  • Develop strategies around supplier segmentation to manage the supply chain and support business growth.
  • Maintain and develop onboarding processes in line with client requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Ensure governance standards, policies, legislation, and security protocols are followed.
  • Ensure suppliers understand Constellia’s and clients' operational models and requirements.
  • Design and implement supply chain audits, focusing on a zero-tolerance approach to Modern Slavery.
  • Grow Constellia marketplace by aligning suppliers to spend categories and relevant geographies.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to drive revenue through Constellia.
  • Design and implement approaches to Social Value and ESG.
  • Implement supplier onboarding and marketing materials.
  • Support procurement operations with pre-marketing supplier engagement and shortlisting.
  • Manage supplier contracts and relationships.
  • Support Finance with supplier payment queries.
  • Utilize data to support activities and enable data-led decisions.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of SRM specialists using a coaching and mentoring approach.
  • Set clear performance expectations and goals for the team and individuals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and communicate updates.
  • Develop a KPI dashboard and monitor team performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) and/or CIPS Level 4 (minimum).
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement or supplier relationship management experience, preferably in professional services.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work at pace while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded.

Desirable:

  • Experience managing a high-performing team of procurement or SRM professionals (2-5 years).
  • Customer-facing, stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience with P2P/Procurement Software.
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of Public Sector procurement.
