The Role:

Working in a dedicated team in our factory and receiving on the job training the successful candidate will be expected to gain a mechanical understanding of machine operation across a number of production machine tools. The job will suit someone with an engineering qualification and manufacturing experience looking to develop a technical machining career.

Responsibilities:

• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Aptitude to train in the setting up and operating machine tools.

• Measure, examine, and test completed components to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometres and callipers.

• Maintaining accurate records of job orders, processes, and productivity reports.

• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

• Maintain a safe and clean workspace and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Desired Experience:

• Manufacturing experience.

• Familiar with inspection equipment would be an advantage.

• Ability to manage relationships.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills

• Highly motivated, with a pro-active approach to work

• Confident and determined approach.

• Methodical and accurate with a good attention to detail.

• Can work alone and use initiative but also a team player

• Ideally hold a full Clean Driving License.

Working hours:

Monday - Thursday 7.15am- 4.30pm (30 min unpaid lunch) & Friday 7.15am - 12.15pm
