Credit Controller - Permanent - In-house - £(phone number removed) -  must have own transport

My client based at their UK Head Office, has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly motivated individual to join our credit control team and play a key role in driving the future success of the business. Whilst your primary functions will be credit control, you will be interacting with all areas of the business and, as such, your future development is only limited by your own ambitions!

As part of the Finance Team, you will report directly to the Credit Manager.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 2 years credit control experience
  • Proficient in word and excel software
  • Excellent communication skills

KEY TASKS

  • Ensure all client balances are collected within the agreed payment terms
  • Protect the brand, build a good rapport and relationship with customers

whilst effectively using credit control processes

  • Monitor and process orders via the hold queue
  • Proactively resolve any client invoice queries in a timely manner
  • Escalate any potential risks with clients defaulting to the Credit Manager
  • Manage cash allocation, enforcing payment terms and allocating payments accurately
  • Daily invoicing to clients, producing statements and reminder letters for outstanding accounts in line with the current credit cycle
  • Negotiating repayment plans                                                                                                                             

PERFORMANCE TARGETS

  • Timely collection of outstanding debts
  • Working to minimise overdue balances
  • Ensure bad debts are kept to a minimum
  • Attention to detail at all times

  • Encourage motivation of other staff members.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, building relationships both internal and external.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Good standard of English.
  • Sage 200 - Not essential

Hours: 09.00am to 17:30pm Mon to Thursday 09.00am to 5.00pm Friday
