Join our clients team to gain valuable skills, knowledge, and experience in the role of a Building Surveyor. You'll engage in Building Surveys for high-rise residential properties, report writing, remediation works, and Contract Administration.

£35,000 - £60,000

Building Surveyor Responsibilities:

Acquire an understanding of the Building Surveyor role, including compliance with the Building Safety Act, through collaboration with internal and external project team members and guidance from the Manager/Team Leader.
Support colleagues by liaising closely with Clients, Residents, Contractors, Developers, Clerk of Works, and other stakeholders.

Diagnostic and Pathology Experience: Gain experience in diagnosing building issues and reporting on residential, educational, and healthcare buildings.
Project Deliverables: Learn to identify key project outputs to ensure Clients receive the necessary information.
Building Safety Case Preparation: Assist in preparing building safety cases, audit compliance trackers, and logs using appropriate software (training
provided).

Professional Qualification: Work towards completing a relevant professional qualification (support will be provided) or must be recently qualified.

Building Surveyor Main Duties:
Building Safety Case: Aid in delivering building safety case works, including the completion of safety case reports.
Team Collaboration: Work within a small team, reporting directly to the Team Leader/Delivery Director.

On-site Work: Valid UK driving license required for project work in London and surrounding areas.
Career Development: Show interest in building a career within the built environment, developing the skills and knowledge necessary for a Building Surveyor.

Report Writing: Assist with writing reports and Contract Administration for high-rise remediation works.
Resident Liaison: Understand and support the resident liaison process required for project completion.
Meeting Minutes: Develop the ability to take minutes in internal and external meetings, understanding the context of discussions.
Project Support: Understand how different roles within the project team contribute to project delivery.
Tender Process: Assist with and comprehend the tender and procurement processes for key consultants and contractors.
