Parkinson Lee Executive Search are currently working with a globally recognised manufacturer in their search for a UK Plant Manager

We are a rapidly growing business dedicated to excellence in the production of quality products. We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Plant Manager to lead project delivery and operational excellence. The successful candidate will oversee the expansion of our the plant, ensuring projects are completed on time, safely, and in full compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage project delivery teams, including contractors and consultants, ensuring effective collaboration and project execution.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and application stages through to the commissioning of the plant.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to ensure the successful expansion of the production facilities.
  • Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring all phases are completed within the set deadlines.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with external partners, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.
  • Coordinate with the planning department to secure necessary permits and approvals.
  • Ensure a steady supply of materials and resources needed for the project.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance throughout all project phases.
  • Oversee the commissioning process to ensure the plant operates smoothly and meets all performance specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a chemical plant management role, preferably with experience in distillation and liquid sweetener production.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale industrial projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of CAPEX management and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in the chemical industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
