Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: Up to £40,000

An engineering company in Basildon is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. The business specializes in the design and assembly of special purpose equipment used in a variety of sectors. 

About the role:

• You will be producing mechanical drawings alongside a mechanical design team with necessary supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy in all areas of the design process. 
• Working with multi departments throughout the design process to ensure correct parts are ordered.
• Working to set timelines and ensuring work is completed on time. 
• On-going training and development to ensure you have sound knowledge of product offerings 

Role Requirements: 

• Experience working in a mechanical design position in an industry/special purpose machinery setting 
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD packages, such as Inventor, AutoCAD and SolidWorks (the business uses Inventor and AutoCAD)
• Great communicator, able to work with numerous departments within the business. 
• Timekeeping skills – managing and completed projects on time 
• Good overall mechanical knowledge such as, assembly, machinery and fabrication 
• Attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to adhere to industry standards
