Are you an experienced Health and Safety Advisor/Manager looking for a new opportunity?

Our client, a leader within the UK construction market, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join their Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Team. If you have a background in H&S or ISO Standards, with a strong understanding of environmental, safety, and sustainability principles, this could be the perfect role for you!

As a Health and Safety Advisor/Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the team, learning about how our client manages the risks associated with their business activities. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental policies and procedures, while also assisting in the development and maintenance of ISO management systems and accreditations.

The position offers a competitive salary starting from £35,000 per annum, along with a range of benefits including an employer contribution pension scheme, death in service, health cash plan, and a bonus scheme. You will also enjoy 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

Stay up to date with new or changing legislation, and liaise with senior stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Investigate new safety initiatives and develop procedures, safe systems of work, and criteria for implementation.
Conduct site inspections and prepare RAMS (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH Assessments) for all site activities.
Chair and contribute to the QuESH Forum, producing detailed minutes and reporting any issues to management.
Carry out accident investigations, write reports, and make recommendations in accordance with RIDDOR requirements.
Provide support in developing and maintaining ISO Management Systems and relevant accreditations.
Assist with FORS, ROSPA, and Considerate Constructor schemes.

Skills and Competencies:

NEBOSH Construction qualification.
Awareness of BREEAM, WELL, and LEED accreditation.
Strong administrative skills, including data analysis.
Excellent coordination abilities and a can-do attitude.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills.

While the position is primarily Monday to Friday, some flexibility is required to cover overtime and travel to various site locations.
