Cover People is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated ICT Teacher for a full-time position at a reputable secondary school in South Manchester. The successful candidate will join the IT department, teaching ICT to both KS3 & KS4 students. This role will be for the Autumn term however could be extended after Christmas. We are able to pay to teacher scale for this role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective ICT lessons for GCSE students.
  • Prepare lesson materials and resources in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Possibly take on the responsibility of a tutor group.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the ICT curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience in teaching ICT within the UK secondary school system.
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE ICT curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.

  • Hold an enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (or be willing to undergo a new DBS check).
  • Provide references covering the last two years.
