Job Summary

In this role, you will be the foundation for IMDS submissions within the Redditch plant. You will work with purchasing and our suppliers to receive IMDS submissions. Including giving guidance to our suppliers that are new to IMDS. Create the IMDS BOM and submit to our end customer(s), correcting any issues to ensure the submission is approved. Alongside this, you will also take the lead in liaising between the vehicle certification agency and internal departments to obtain Conformity of Production (CofP).

Responsibilities

  • Collect, manage and control the data of our suppliers regarding the materials used in all supplied parts.
  • Contacting suppliers of unreported parts and rejected parts for resubmission.
  • Maintain IMDS data base and ensure the data exchange with customers and suppliers.
  • Structuring and submitting the IMDS data.
  • Coaching / signposting our suppliers who are new to IMDS.
  • Being the IMDS expert in support of plant, engineering and purchasing.
  • Monitor the realization of legally required measures of material use in production.
  • Lead interactions and activities between the VCA and all internal departments to obtain Conformity of Production clearance.

Basic Qualifications

  • You will typically have a university degree in the field of automotive, material engineering, chemistry or mechanical engineering or a comparable education with relevant work experience

Key Competencies

  • Understanding of Global OEMs Substance Regulations
  • Experience in IMDS and REACH
  • Expertise of the EU directive requirements for material and sound experience in the field of IMDS
  • Very good analytical skills and the ability to work independently
