Job Role: Assistant Machine Minder
Location: Huntingdon
Shift Pattern: Various shift patterns depending on demand.
Salary: £13.89 to £14.89 per hour

This company is 100% family owned and was Established in 1983, my client invented the packaging Amazon uses today and is proudly Europe's largest independent producer of postal packaging, on a mission to eradicate plastics from ecommerce.
Purpose of an Assistant Manager:
- Assisting the minder when making ready the machine
- Assisting the minder when running the machine
- Helping the minder changing consumables on the line
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities for an Assistant Minder:
- Has a full understanding of the safe operation of process machinery including safety features, stops, lock-out systems and safe systems of work along with risk assessments for the work area
- Has a full understanding of the safe use of ancillary equipment, tooling and consumables used for the process
- Has a full understanding of the safe use of substances used in the processes particularly those covered by COSHH
- Assists Minder with setup
- Can effectively feed machine
- Can effectively pack on machine
- Can replenish consumable/material on machine
- Identifies and notifies Minder of potential issues on machine
- Understands job bag
- Understands products we make
- Can identify materials we use
- Can check quality of product
- Can consistently run a pre-set machine without assistance to target speed and correct quality
- Can log jobs and indirects into dataflow
- Can carry out daily maintenance and assist with other TPM tasks
- Covering holidays/absences for the Minder (attracts a premium)
