EYFS Teaching Assistant, Manchester Primary School
Location: Manchester, M13
A diverse and inclusive primary school in the Manchester area are currently recruiting for an EYFS Teaching Assistant role. This excellent school is warm and welcoming and committed to the education, welfare, and pastoral care of its pupils. About the role:
* 240 pupils, ages 5-11
* Offering support to children in a classroom environment and has facilities to support pupils on a 1:1 basis in their own rooms outside the main classroom
* Support the class teacher with preparation of work for the class and managing the class environment
* High proportion of children come from non-English speaking families, some languages spoken include Somali, Urdu & Bengali
* Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with children to support targeted interventions in areas such as reading, writing and speaking.
About you:
* Passionate about making a difference
* Ability to use various techniques to support children in managing their behaviour
* Be patient, supportive and have an understanding approach
* Ability to make learning fun for the children
* Minimum Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent
