Brilliantin Recruitment is excited to announce its partnership with a well-known new home builder in the search for a Maintenance Technician to join their team.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality repair work in a timely manner, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service to their clients. You will be provided with a company van, all the necessary tools to complete your role to the highest standard, as well as a work phone and an iPad.

You will be covering the Warrington, Stoke, Chesterfield, and Birmingham areas.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensuring all activities within your role follow our hierarchy, with ‘Keeping our people safe’ our first priority.
• Ensure all activities are properly planned and carried out in line with the company’s health and safety policies and procedures. Any non-compliance, including allowing anyone to take risks that could affect their health and safety, may be investigated in line with our disciplinary policy. 
• Undertakes a range of remedial work on new homes (which can include carpentry, decorating, plastering) 
• Ensures that any repairs are completed on time and in one visit, to ensure that customers receive an excellent after-sales service level as they move in, and throughout the warranty period provided with every new home. 
• Carries out planned maintenance and repair improvements to occupied properties. 
• Diagnoses and repairs faults 
• Maintains clean working areas.  
• Carries out safe working practices to ensure individual well-being, as well as that of customers and colleagues. 
• Promote and lives the values of St. Modwen  
• Maintain knowledge and adhere to relevant Group Policies and Procedures, Legislation and Regulations  
• Develop and ensure safe working practices

Experience Skills and Knowledge

• Relevant CSCS card 
• Experienced in a similar role. 
• Excellent communication skills  
• Possess a positive outlook. 
• Conscientious  
• Ability to take the initiative and problem solve. 
• Full, valid driving licence 
• Close attention to detail 
• For safeguarding reasons, the company requires employees in this position to undergo a basic DBS check, which will show unspent convictions only. The results of the DBS check would be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
