Quality Assurance Inspector - PERMANENT - Upto £26kpa

Avid Personnel are proud to be representing their client as they look to hire a Quality Assurance Inspector to join them working out of their state-of-the-art facility in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.

Key aims of a Quality Assurance Inspector with our client are to:

  • ensure all processes adhere to current ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards
  • contribute to the overall improvement in quality of manufactured items
  • educate production personnel in all aspects of quality
  • create a QA procedure that is intrinsic to the Production process

Duties & tasks of a Quality Assurance Inspector with our client are to:

  • promote good Quality practices throughout by educating people and supporting all employees, whilst embedding a culture of pro-active risk management and health and safety throughout
  • ensure all new starters are fully inducted and trained for the required tasks
  • ensure all operatives are following appropriate SSOW / procedures
  • ensure equipment in use is fit for purpose and calibrated as appropriate
  • develop and implement appropriate quality check procedures for all “works” processes
  • develop, implement & maintain quality KPI’s for the department
  • ensure required quality standards are maintained & reviewed regularly
  • ensure all welders are working to appropriate welding standards
  • ensure jigs are made to have a poke yoke system to ensure a consistent manufacturing output
  • ensure all quality checks are carried out and recorded accurately
  • carry out regular inspections of product during manufacture against drawings and job documentation
  • regularly review quality performance with team members and supervisors
  • seek and implement best practice for quality processes
  • collate and report KPI performance
  • report all quality issues in a timely manner
  • liaising with staff in other departments as required

The successful candidate will require the following skills, knowledge and experience;

A good understanding of Quality policies, procedures, and documentation. At least three years’ in a similar role.Excellent people skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Ability to organise, multitask and prioritise. A good understanding of engineering drawings. 

And would ideally have experience of ERP software and is ISO Internal auditor trained.
