Goods in and Despatch Supervisor

Permanent position

£28k - £30k per annum - plus benefits

Ideally looking for someone with a hands on approach, lead by example - will be responsible for a small team.

Good supervisory skills - ideally with a manufacturing background and has FLT experience.

Duties of a Goods in and Despatch Supervisor

• Develop a visual plan for the team aligned with the work-to-list, outlining expectations for each team member.
• Raise issues to line manager where goods are not available in locations 24 hrs before dispatch.
• Dispatching product punctually to meet the sales order schedule. Highlighting any items which are overdue to the relevant Cell planners.
• Manage the sales order returns process ensuring parts are booked in punctually and issued to the customer after completion of repair.
• Work with minimum supervision to identify, predict and resolve problems.
• Ensure the necessary stock levels of packaging are available in the dispatch area.
• Work closely with other support functions to deliver the company's objectives.
• Advocate for the customer and uphold the promised delivery date.
• Keep customers and systems fully updated on any delays and expected planned dates.
• Coordinate with other departments to address exceptions.

Experience required for the Goods in and Despatch Supervisor position

• Previous experience in a despatch supervisor or similar role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• FLT
• Logistics distribution and supply chain

Additional information for the Goods in and Despatch Supervisor role

• £28k to £30k - depending on experience
• Days 8am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12pm Fridays
• Permanent position - 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Birthday off
