Catering and Hospitality Assistant
Are you a pro-active and cheerful person who would thrive working in a busy kitchen environment? If so, we have a vacancy for a part-time General Catering Assistant and can offer 30 hours per week, term time only.
This role will be a flexible role working as part of our Catering team supporting our in-school catering service for pupils, staff and visitors however, it will also include evening and weekend work as part of our Hospitality team supporting external events held on site as required.
Duties will include:
- Assisting in the general day-to-day running of the kitchen and school food provision.
- Assisting chefs with the preparation, presentation and serving of meals, buffets and all hospitality needs.
- Helping with general kitchen duties and adhering to strict allergen, HSE and food safety policies and procedures.
- Delivering excellent customer service.
- Kitchen/dining room cleaning.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be physically fit with a positive, cheerful can-do attitude and be able to work well as part of a busy and friendly team. You will also need to be able to provide a flexible approach to working hours when required to support external hospitality events held on site.
We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of customer service so the successful candidate will be conscientious, professional and reliable. Previous catering/customer service experience and basic food hygiene certificates are desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
