WOOD MACHINIST

We are recruiting for a Wood Machinist to work for our client who are in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

THE DUTIES OF A WOOD MACHINIST:

• To competently operate machinery to produce products that meet specification and quality standards.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly throughout processing.
• To communicate effectively with other operators to ensure production targets are met.
• To identify quality issues and defects to prevent further defective products being produced.
• To comply with the company health and safety policy.
• You will be expected to produce products from Plywood, Chipboard or MDF ready for other processes in laminating, edging or drilling.
• You will also be required to work with various machines including Double End Tenor.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILL:

• Minimum 2 years' experience working within a woodworking background
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong understanding of wood properties and machinery

THE HOUR:

You will work a day shift: Monday-Thursday 6am- 5:30pm.

THE PAY:

You will earn an hourly rate of £13.36 an hour depending on experience and skill level.

All overtime paid at x1.5
