Role Overview:

Trigon Recruitment are working with an outstanding provider of alternative education and are currently seeking a Teacher to work in their Thrapston campus.

Our client is on the lookout for dynamic and creative Teachers to join our alternative education community! If you're passionate about fostering a love for learning, embracing diversity, and encouraging students to think beyond the traditional, we want to hear from you!

At Thrapston we support approximately 20 pupils on roll to ensure that we can provide ample opportunities for children who need a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment, specifically for those who will reintegrate back into a mainstream setting. The school consists of a core team of the Head of School, three teachers, and three support staff. Further support is also provided by regional and national staff, who work with a number of schools across our group.

Key Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, DET, QTS etc.)
  • Proven track record of raising attainment, supporting behavioural challenges and demonstrating high levels of pastoral care
  • Enthusiastic about alternative education methodologies
  • A commitment to holistic student development
  • Ready to bring fresh ideas and creativity to the classroom and outside it
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives
  • A good understanding of Ofsted
  • Engaging teaching style
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Experience teaching in an alternative provision/education, SEN/EHCP
