The Opportunity:

As a result of impressive growth and a steadfast commitment to sustainability, there is an exceptional opportunity for a Database and Graphics Engineer to join the Energy Control Systems Team. This team specializes in designing, commissioning, and supporting control projects. They use innovative Energy Control Systems (ECS) with industrial PLCs and comprehensive SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) solutions, enhancing efficiency and resilience in a broad range of sectors.

The Role:

You will develop graphics for Human-Machine Interfaces and databases that underpin these graphics and enable automated reporting. This hybrid role includes remote work, on-site tasks, and office responsibilities. Ideally, the candidate should ideally be located in or near London.

Responsibilities:

  • Master relevant software packages like Aveva Edge.
  • Support data requests and assist modeling consultants and clients.
  • Troubleshoot data loss and communication issues.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and site practices.
  • Complete weekly timesheets, mileage, and expense reports.
  • Communicate effectively through reports, Teams meetings, and on-site meetings.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, personal appearance, and punctuality.
  • Perform additional duties as required.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Education: Degree in IT or computer science-related discipline. GCSE grades C and above in Math, English, and Science/Technology subjects.
  • Skills: Basic understanding of electrical principles/electronics, proficiency in IT, SQL/MySQL Server administration, server application configuration, and MySQL database administration.
  • Competencies: Work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, attention to detail, establish harmonious working relationships, and apply feedback for performance improvement.
