Our client is one of the world's leading design practices. A global business with over 45 offices covering the America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand and they are a world leader in creating people centric spaces who transform spaces with experiential interior design.Due to a period of sustained growth, they are looking to recruit a proactive Lead E&I Engineer to join their growing Life Sciences team based in Cork.

You will be working alongside an Electrical and Instrumentation design team, focused on delivering complex, process-led pharmaceutical design projects. This role will work on both electrical and instrumentation design deliverables, reporting directly to the E&I Manager.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

• Providing lead support on an integrated, multi-tasking design team.
• Strong technical ability in all aspects of E&I Engineering & Design.
• Proactive with a strong ability to work independently and without supervision.
• Design and specification of instrumentation and control systems to current regulations and design standards.
• Engineering design for Instrument Systems.
• Preparing Instrument Specifications.
• Inputting into P&ID drawings.
• Electrical Design.
• Generation of instrument loop sheets & termination schedules.
• Generation of layout drawings.
• Input to scope of work documentation for tender & construction packages.
• Working directly with clients to define project requirements and develop technical solutions

Candidate

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a relevant Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering discipline and experience working in a similar role. You must be a good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional design team.

The role is predominately office based, with a flexible option to work from home on Fridays.

Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5.30pm, and on Friday 8am to 12 noon.
