Maintenance Engineer Days

Location: northamptonshire 

Salary: Up to £39,000 per year

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with an alternating schedule including one Saturday per month, followed by a Friday off

About the Role: Join our team of skilled engineers in Desborough as a Maintenance Engineer. We offer a competitive salary and a supportive work environment where your expertise will be valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of 5 engineers to maintain and repair plant machinery, packaging machines, printers, conversion machines, and ancillary equipment.
  • Address both day-to-day and long-term engineering needs.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance systems.
  • Ensure ISO compliance in partnership with the quality department.
  • Minimize downtime and promptly resolve breakdowns.
  • Respond quickly to on-site machinery breakdowns.
  • Work with engineering management and colleagues to efficiently resolve issues.
  • Lead a team of maintenance engineers during your shift.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety procedures.
  • Participate in relevant training and courses for professional development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance engineer in packaging, manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in both mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs, with a preference for electrical expertise.
  • Experience in repairing and fault finding.
  • Understanding of automated processes (desirable).
  • Relevant electrical/mechanical qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQs, or equivalent experience.

Willingness to learn, share best practices, and attend training courses as needed.
