Sites and School Assistant

Term Time Only + Up to 2 weeks during the holidays

7:30am – 3:30pm

Faraday School has an exciting opportunity for a friendly, reliable, and approachable Sites Assistant to join our support team. As Sites Assistant, working with the Sites Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of our school, helping ensure the school site and buildings are well maintained, in good repair, and with high standards of cleanliness and tidiness. We are seeking a proactive and exible candidate with a diverse skill set, including practical and DIY skills, combined with a keen attention to detail and an ability to use their initiative. The Sites Assistant will also support the Sites Manager with ensuring health and safety standards are complied with, porterage duties, and end of-year tasks such as assisting sta with the moving classrooms and site improvement projects. During the middle of the day the Assistant will provide support for play and lunchtime sessions helping supervise the pupils with kindness and flexibility during our busiest times.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Good written and verbal English.
  • Caretaking / sites management experience.
  • Initiative and strong organisational skills, prepared to do day to day tasks and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work e ciently and constructively within a small team.
  • Experience of the education sector and working with children would be helpful.
  • DIY skills and experience to include plumbing.
  • Comfortable using IT systems and emails.
  • Willingness to undergo training as required.
