Operations Manager - Transport 

The role will take full responsibility for the successful leadership and management of the Cross Dock Centre, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational efficiency whilst maintaining a safe and legal transport operation.

• O Licence holder for the site • Ensure a safe and legally compliant Cross Dock and Transport operation • Exemplifies the company’s values and behaviours • Ensure operating plans, fleet, equipment and resourcing levels meet demand • Customer focussed, ensuring all colleagues understand the impact their role has on customer service; managing performance to improve NPS. • Ensures all operational processes are adhered to. • Ensure operations meet and exceed defined operational metrics and standards • Managing budget responsibility to ensure financial targets are met • Be an inspirational leader communicating consistently and at all levels • Provide innovative solutions to continuously improve performance • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure end to end Cross Dock optimisation • Coach and mentor the team building talent and succession plans • Work closely with the Regional Transport Manager to ensure efficiencies can be identified and best in practice procedures put into place • Ensure objective setting and performance reviews are in place for all colleagues • Identify operational improvements and implement change effectively

YOU will have a proven track record in a customer centric logistics operation as Warehouse or Transport Operations Manager

• Transport Manager CPC essential • An effective leader with an organised and methodical approach to leading change • Commercially astute and can demonstrate effective budgetary management • Can demonstrate process management skills and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives • Effective communication style and ability to influence at all levels • Effective resource planning skills and the ability to improve team performance
