Design Engineer job vacancy in the R&D product innovation electromechanical design engineering team.  The company design and manufacture world leading industrial appliances.  The Design Engineer is part of the cradle to grave product design team.  As a Design Engineer you’ll be involved with R&D innovation, creating electrical and mechanical engineering ideas for product design, CAD detailing and documentation, and helping to take ideas through feasibility, DFMEA and detailing electro mechanical in CAD (Solidworks).

As a Design Engineer, you be part of a team responsible for creating and developing innovative designs and technical solutions for various products, systems, or components.

The ideal background and skills required are based around the following engineering design hard skills coupled with the soft skills of design innovation, team working and proactive mindset.

• Engineering degree, HND or Level 4 Engineering Apprenticeship
• 1-3 years engineering employment
• Design engineering 3D CAD drawing skills; creating & updating electromechanical engineering 3D CAD models and technical drawings.  Solidworks ideally, but any engineering 3D CAD package is fine.
• Eye for detail and ability to complete designs & documentation on time as part of a team project.
