OLG Recruitment are currently looing for a Fabrication Workshop Lead for our client located in Grimsby. This is a permanent position, however also open to long-term contract. 

You will be responsible for all aspects of the management of the fabrication workshop ensuring all manufactured items are delivered safely, of the highest standard, on time and on budget.

Responsibilities 

The key duties of the post are as follows:-

• Working closely with the contract management team to deliver all fabrication jobs which pass through the workshop
• Overall control of the workshop supervision and workforce
• Planning of workload and resources
• Manage productivity and efficiency of the workshop
• Support pricing and proposals with man hour estimates and the like
• To be point of contact for clients in relation to their project requirements where necessary
• Ensure highest standard of safe working is maintained
• Ensure all fabricated items are delivered in accordance with quality requirements and industry standards
• To support seeking new business to ensure growth and sustainability for the company
• This list is non-exhaustive and may include other duties designated as appropriate to the role.
• Produce risk assessments and method statements when required

Key skills

• Strong background in fabrication and installation
• Demonstrable experience of a similar role 
• Strong Health & Safety and Quality ethic
• Strong experience of managing a workforce team
