The suitable candidate will be expected to positively engage with the project designer and client and to satisfy the requirements of the role they will be expected to:

· Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of UK Electrical Regulations

· Technically and objectively evaluate electrical design documentation against electrical design, client, and harmonized ISO/EN/BS standards

· Engage with designers and specialist sub-contractors for design assistance, determine and coordinate system integration requirements between specialist vendors

· Host meetings and workshops with clients, designers, and specialist vendors

· Developing weekly technical engineering progress reports

· Implement systems to improve efficiency, sustainability and apply value engineering

· Identify equipment and materials which are long lead items and actively participate in selection, suitability, formal approval processes and procurement

· Develop and maintain LLE Procurement register

· Perform / Validate cable types/sizes calculations (Trimble or other)

· Perform / Validate containment capacity studies

· Development of cable matrix schedules and construction work packs

· Attend FAT’s and SAT’s for LLE Equipment

The ideal candidate will be expected to show case:

· A detailed knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical DH building services systems

· HV/LV Power Distribution

· System Interfacing, controls, and commissioning

· Generators / UPS / CBS / PMS / EPMS / BMS / Chillers / HVAC / Utilities / Fire Alarm / Security

· Effectively use BIM360 / Navis as part of engineering activities and detailed coordination of multidisciplinary services

· Highlight and offer solutions regarding design discrepancies with potential to impact project milestones

· Adapt and respond to change, communicate commercial implications within project team

· Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical Standards and Systems – below examples are not exhaustive

· Medium and Low Voltage Networks

· Electrical Switchgear and Power Distribution (MV/LV/Cabling/Busbar)

· Instrumentation and control systems (BMS/PAS/EAS/PMS)

· Containment Systems and applications (Ladder/Tray/Basket/Trunking)

· Life Safety Systems (Fire Alarm/Disabled Refugee/Smoke Vent etc)

· Security and Access Control

· UPS Systems

· Emergency Lighting and Central Battery Systems

· Gas Detection

· Data & IT (Copper and Fibre)

· Earthing and Lightning Protection

· Cross System Electrical Integrations

· SCCS
