The role - SEMH Teaching assistant - Aldershot


Teach 360 is working with a SEMH school in Alershot is seeking to hire a teaching assistant who has experience in working with children with SEMH disorders and is able to begin working as soon as possible. There will be a lot of classroom-based work in this role that will mainly involve supporting a small number of students who have social, emotional and mental health needs. A SEMH teaching assistant is responsible for assisting students in a variety of subjects, including their core subjects as well as non-core subjects. Your support may need to extend outside the classroom at times, and you may be expected to do so at times. This could be through interventions. In both the classroom and outside of the classroom, you will be supporting students in their learning process. The SEMH Teaching Assistant for this role will be responsible for running or supporting interventions that are based around the individual's needs. As a result, the ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of one year's experience in a similar setting prior to applying for this role.
