Position: Lifting Equipment Engineer (LOLER Examiner)

Job Summary
As a Lifting Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) examinations on a wide range of lifting equipment and plant. Your role is crucial in ensuring that clients' equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct LOLER Examinations: Perform detailed inspections of lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, lifting accessories, and other plant machinery, to ensure compliance with LOLER regulations.
Identify Defects: Detect and document any defects or issues with the equipment, and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or adjustments.
Technical Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the findings of your examinations, including any non-compliances and suggested corrective actions.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to explain examination results, offer professional advice, and ensure they understand regulatory requirements and safety standards.
Compliance Assurance: Stay updated on the latest LOLER regulations and best practices to ensure all examinations are conducted according to the most current standards.
Safety Promotion: Advocate for best practices in lifting safety and contribute to our mission of promoting a safe working environment.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in the inspection or maintenance of lifting equipment.
Certifications: Relevant qualifications in lifting equipment examination or a related engineering discipline.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of LOLER regulations and lifting equipment safety standards.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and report on technical issues accurately.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing clear, concise, and informative reports.
Driving License: Valid UK driving license.
