Salary: M1 – M6 London + SEN Allowance 

We are currently working with a dynamic and expanding school in the London Borough of Croydon. The school is a specialist Secondary school which provides a nurturing learning community for children and young people aged from 11 to 19 years with Educational Health Care Plans and additional needs. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths teacher to join them for September. 

The school believes that every young person has the right to the best possible education and a chance to succeed. Job Summary:

  • Providing teaching support within the framework of the National Curriculum, GCSE’s and Functional Skills.
  • Committed to providing the students with the very best chance in education.
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment with a committed and flexible approach.
  • Commitment to fulfilling the needs of pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional or learning difficulties, and social communication difficulties.
  • Preparing, planning and assessing teaching sessions
  • Able to create a safe and stimulating environment for all students

Key Skills Required:

  • Have successfully completed a course of teacher training (this role is not suitable for unqualified teachers)
  • Previous experience as a Maths teacher delivering and planning lessons
  • Sensitivity to and concern for the needs of the children and their families
  • Be resilient, show enthusiasm and confidence
  • Able to build meaningful and positive relationships with the students
