About the Role:
- Position: Teacher of IT and Computing
- Levels: Key Stages 3-5
- Start Date: September 2024
- Contract Type: Full-Time
- Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective IT and Computing lessons to students across Key Stages 3-5.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that fosters students' understanding of IT and Computing principles.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop their digital skills and explore computing technologies.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress and development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular clubs and activities related to IT and Computing.
Requirements:
- A degree in IT, Computing, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching IT and Computing at secondary level; applications from both ECTs and more experienced colleagues are both warmly welcomed.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology and computing education.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
