The successful Health and Safety Manager will report to the Head of H&S and will lead and develop a small team of Advisors.
This position represents an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to progress their career further within the Utilities and Civil Engineering industry while working for a national award-winning organisation.
This hybrid position will be travelling to sites and offices predominantly within the East Midlands and Suffolk but will also visit sites Nationally. This hands-on and operationally focused position provides flexibility and autonomy to manage your own diary and movements.
The key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager:
- Provide Health and Safety guidance across multiple sites
- Manage and develop a small team of Health and Safety Advisors.
- Work closely with senior leaders and the Head of Health and Safety to develop and implement the Health and Safety strategy for the organisation.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Undertake incident investigations and implement preventative measures to avoid repeating similar incidents.
- Conduct Health and Safety audits and inspections.
- Drive a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the wider business.
- NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction certificate or equivalent.
- Experience within Telecoms or Utilities.
- A basic salary of £55,000 - £60,000
- Company car (Hybrid and Electric options) or Car allowance
- 25 days plus Bank holiday.
