Mechanical Assembly Fitter

Full Time, Permanent
£16.15 per hour + overtime + benefits.
Monday to Friday (9 day fortnight)
My client, a special purpose machinery manufacturer, based in Gloucester, are looking to add a mechanical assembly fitter to their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Role Purpose:
The role is to ensure assemblies are manufactured correctly to specification and on time.
Responsibilities:
• To fit and assemble machine parts accurately to engineering drawing.
• To accurately fit sub assembly parts using engineering drawings.
• Use hand tools and power tools to fit and assemble components.
• Use pillar drills, deburring tools and grinding wheels safely where necessary.
• Use engineering measuring equipment where necessary to ensure components are to
Specification.
Requirements:
• Proven ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to read pneumatics drawings is advantageous.
• Flexibility to travel abroad to customers if required.
• Proven effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer literacy.
